Tech giant Apple has sold more than 800 million mobile devices to date, including iPhones, iPads, and iPods, CEO Tim Cook said in San Francisco on Monday.

Offering opening remarks at the iPhone annual developers' conference at the Moscone Center in downtown San Francisco, Tim Cook said 130 million customers had bought their first Apple mobile device during the past twelve months.

Apple has sold more than 500 million iPhones, 200 million iPads and 100 million iPod Touch devices to date.

Cook said that there are now 1.2 million apps available on Apple's AppStore, with 75 billion downloads to date since the launch. There are nine million registered Apple developers.

Cook added that the company had updated their desktop and mobile operating systems, improving integration across Apple devices.

Apple also introduced HealthKit software which collects personalized health statistics such as weight, calories, blood pressure and pulse from wearable mobile health devices.

Apple reported that iPhone sales had increase in quarterly revenue by 4.6 percent to $45.6 billion on April 24, beating market expectations, after selling 43.7 million iPhones in January through March of 2014.

Apple also reported a net profit of $10.2 billion, or $11.62 per share, nearly totaling the net profits of the banking sector ($10.9 billion in 2013) in Turkey, compared to revenue one year ago of $43.6 billion and profit of $9.5 billion, or $10.09 per share

Meanwhile, competitor Google said last year that it had activated more than 900 million Android devices.
