Turkish Deputy PM: AA's Gaza coverage 'exemplary'

Sun 20, July 2014 Kategori Turkey

The Anadolu Agency’s coverage of the conflict in Gaza is "exemplary,” Turkey’s Deputy Prime Minister has said.

Emrullah Isler said on Sunday that the Turkish news agency’s live footage of Israeli airstrikes and ground attacks since the early days of Operation Protective Edge was an example to other international news organizations.

"AA has been showing exemplary behavior to other media organizations since July 10,” he said during a visit to Turkey’s northern province of Gumushane.

Three days after Israel began bombarding Gaza, AA’s Global TV began carrying live coverage of the conflict to suppliment coverage on its website, www.aa.com.tr.

Isler added: "I congratulate AA for this achievement and wish for the wars, blood and tearsto endas soon as possible, but unfortunately these events are happening.”

Israeli shelling and air attacks began July 7, followed by a widespread land offensive on Thursday.
