Zeybekçi becomes new Economy Minister

Ten new ministers Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan appointed on Wednesday are taking up their duty on Thursday with handover ceremonies.

Ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Denizli deputy Nihat Zeybekçi became the new economy minister following the resignation of Zafer Çağlayan, who faces allegations of bribery. Speaking to press day after he was appointed to the ministry, Zeybekçi thanked Erdoğan for trusting him for such a position.
